Privacy Policy

Biddy Kate's Cafe Bar ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.biddykates.co.nz, how we use it, and your rights under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect: your name, email address and message details when you use our contact or enquiry forms; your name, email and team name when you register for quiz night; your name, email, delivery address and gift message when you buy a gift voucher; your email address when you join our newsletter; and general, anonymised information about how visitors use the site through analytics tools.

How we use it. We use your information to reply to your enquiries, manage quiz registrations and send registration confirmations and reminders, process and deliver gift voucher orders, send our email newsletter (only if you've signed up, and you can unsubscribe at any time), and understand how the website is used so we can improve it.

Payments. Gift voucher payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to payment processing.

Who we share it with. We don't sell your information to anyone. We use trusted services to run the website, including Stripe (payments), Mighty Mail (email delivery), Google (analytics and tag management) and Meta (advertising measurement). These providers only receive the information needed to do their job.

How long we keep it. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as required by law.

Your rights. Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Just email hello@biddykates.co.nz and we'll sort it out.
